Going Green @ DeRougemont Manor Hotel.
As part of our ever evolving & increasing environmental & social awareness here at DeRougemont Manor Hotel, we have over the past few months been working in collaberation with a high profile Environmental Consultancy Group towards a common goal of greatly reducing the impact that our use of a broad spectrum of utilities has on the wider environment.
To this end, we have already put in place a raft of measures that will be of benefit to both those that stay with us here at Derougemont Manor & those that work here too.
Amongst our raft of new measures is the replacement of all existing standard lightbulbs throughout the Hotel, with low-energy bulbs making a considerable instant saving in terms of pollutants & financies.
We are further installing a new front entrance door system to greatly reduce heatloss from the building when entering & leaving.
Every single meter of the Hotel’s service-pipework has been thermally lagged for insulation in order to once again prevent unnecessary heatloss.
Lastly, every single one of the Hotel’s heating systems has been fitted with new digital timmers as a way of limiting wastage from these sources of heat, these obviously can be regulated as the seasons change allowing the savings to continue all year ’round!.
this is not the end of our endeavours in this regard, merely the beggining & there will be many more methods employed once we have been advised by our Consultants how best to impliment them so please come back & visit this page for future updates throughout the year.
