It’s come to that time of the year again where we have said goodbye to what has been an amazing 2013, and look ahead to what is going to be a remarkable 2014. As always we ended the year with a bang, hosting two fantastic weddings, and our NYE ball.
2013 has been a fantastic year for us, and looking at how much we have achieved in one year is brilliant. In fact 2013 is probably one of the best years for the Manor. We have short-listed our 5 favourite memories, events & achievements from 2013 below-
- The incredible refurbishment that took place in our Heseltine’s restaurant back in March. We have slowly been refurbishing certain areas of the hotel, now focusing on our bedrooms.
- Celebrating our 45th Birthday back in April was a big milestone for us. It marked the hotel being owned & managed by the Hilton family for 45 years. To help celebrate the birthday we launched Traditional Afternoon Tea. Seeing the fantastic result following the launch has been incredible. Welcoming so many old & new customers to the Hotel.
- Shortly following Afternoon Tea we opened the restaurant for lunch. Again it has been fantastic to welcome so many old & new customers to sample the menus, and join us in the weekdays.
- We have also had a great response to our new themed evenings. With each evening based around a different theme they have all been fantastic evenings, with plenty to come for 2014.
- It goes without saying that our biggest achievement was being awarded with the title of ‘Essex’s Best Large Hotel’. As you will all know following the major success from the awards evening back in April we were the successful winners, and were officially rewarded by the Essex Hospitality & Tourism board.
The big question – what does 2014 hold? Another great year with so many fantastic events & exciting ideas to come. Watch this space!!
