Our whole housekeeping team work to the exceptional standards expected of a 4 star hotel (fluffy rubber gloves not withstanding!) and we thought we would share some of our top cleaning tips with you!
Did you know that full fat Coca Cola tipped down a grubby toilet bowl and left for an hour will remove any tough stains? The phosphoric acid contained in the Coke will dissolve even the most stubborn limescale.
Does your grouting need a touch up? Once again, Coca Cola can save the day. Pour over the offending area, or brush it in with an old toothbrush then leave for 10 minutes. Wipe away and hey presto – no need for re-grouting!
As summer approaches (we hope!) the level of annoying flies and mosquitoes starts to build. A top tip from us is to fill a spray bottle with Listerine and spray away!
Did you know how effective toothpaste – yes toothpaste – is at cleaning up silver?! A little bit rubbed in with a soft damp cloth, then washed off and dried with a clean cloth can bring jewellery and other items back to their former glory.
So, cleaning doesn’t always need to be about buying expensive products! A lot of the time we are surrounded by things that are just as effective, if not more so!
